Technologification
Technologification refers to the addition of newer technology to an existing system, to provide that system with enhanced capabilities that were never imagined by its original designers/builders. An example is the addition to electronic gaming-equipped rider sleds and multi-color LED lights into older enclosed tube water slides. Using technologification, a tube water slide that originally only existed to passively allow riders to slide down its tube, is now capable of providing them with an interactive video game competitive experience as they slide.
