Someone who drinks alcohol in excess, but is not dependent on alcohol.

Hey Jim goes to the bar every night, should we be worried for him as an alcoholic?
No, Jim is a kindaholic. He stops in to Duffy's Place for some food and drinks with friends, but doesn't show any of the symptoms of being an alcoholic if he decides to grill at home and not drink alcohol that day.

Jim, no, he's a kindaholic. He'll go to Duffy's Place every night and he'll binge drink some nights, drink only a couple other nights, or he'll just stop in for his nightly meal. Jim doesn't show any signs of being an alcoholic; he is a kindaholic.
