The 80s

Horribly overrated time period. I know, I was born in 1990, so I wouldn't know what the eighties were like. But seriously, I hate it when people my age reminisce about eighties topics or claim that they are "children of the eighties".

Kickass heavy metal music, though.

From the Calvin Harris song "Acceptable in the 80s", used to define something that is cool, because its retro. Can also be used in reverse as an insult

"I love the NES, That was acceptable in the 80s"
