Impactivism

im·pact·iv·ism | /im-ˈpak-tiv-iz-əm/

Definition: A global movement and emotional state rooted in the urgent need to act for positive, sustainable impact.
It is the burning drive within an Impactivist—a deep, embodied response to injustice, harm, or stagnation—that compels one to transform empathy into action.

Origin: First coined by Bianca Y. Michaels, founder of Heal The World Global, as a way to describe a new wave of changemakers: empaths who take action, combining compassion with science, policy and innovation. It blends impact + activism, with a heavy dose of emotional intelligence.

Associated Terms:
Impactivist (noun): A person who practices Impactivism.
Impactivate (verb): To activate empathy and drive meaningful change.
Empactivator (noun): Someone who empowers empaths to become changemakers.
“Caring is cool, but she’s all about Impactivism: organizing beach cleanups, mentoring youth, and pushing climate bills.”
