Content Farm

A content farm is any online account that is made specifically to churn out as much content as possible for monetary gain, often being described as “soulless” or “lacking creativity”. They also usually have specific design choices (ex: colorful animations or extremely exaggerative thumbnails) that make the videos more appealing to large audiences.

Another film I think that has resonated in real life, is the Barbie Movie. The Barbie movie really got people's attention. People were advertising and hyping up the film. I remember walking into stores and they had new sections of Barbies on display. I think kids who were fans, went out and bought Barbie dolls. And the people who grew up with Barbie got to enjoy the movie, it appealed to them as well. I think this is similar to Best in Show. Dog lovers embraced it, and new audiences were drawn to dogs, and dog shows. People were definitely more inclined to go and buy a dog after seeing this movie. I think pop culture has to be able to attract multiple audiences in order for it to be successful. I think that is what is done very well with both of these topics, and movies.
