Orignating in California usually said by African Americans in San Francisco Bay. Cheh Mai is an alternate way to say the expression, "Yeah Man". By saying Cheh Mai you are clearly stating this expression and also declaring the fact that you are not, in fact, Ignant (See Ignance).
