Scratching Post

An individual who is not a furry and has no interest in becoming one, but interacts heavily with them (or perhaps puts up with them, depending on your PoV).
Dan's a pretty cool guy, he's got a lot of really great knowledge and wisdom of computers, and is quite active in our IT Furs Telegram group, but make no mistake he's no furry, just a Scratching Post.

What we have to call tweets now after the enshittification of the platform done by Elon Musk.
Mark: I’m going to tweet this funny picture!
Jeff: It’s now called an X Post
Mark: What?
Jeff: Yeah, after Elon Musk did his magic, we now have to refer to it as an X Post.

Valid Post-Truth

The recognition that "post-truth" is not simply a descent into falsehood but a transformation of how truth functions—a shift from truth as correspondence to truth as performance, truth as identity, truth as weapon. Valid Post-Truth argues that the old regime of truth (objective, universal, authoritative) has eroded, and a new regime has emerged where truth claims are judged not by their correspondence to reality but by their effects, their alignment with identity, their viral potential. This is not the end of truth but its mutation—truth becomes something else, something we don't yet fully understand. Valid Post-Truth is the attempt to understand this mutation without simply lamenting it.
Example: "He'd spent years lamenting the death of truth, the rise of lies, the end of reason. Valid Post-Truth showed him a different picture: truth hadn't died; it had transformed. Now truth was what went viral, what felt right, what performed identity. He didn't have to like it, but he had to understand it. The old truth wasn't coming back; a new truth was here."

Epistemological Post-structuralism

The theory that knowledge is produced through discursive practices, power relations, and historical contingencies rather than discovered through neutral observation. There are no foundations, no stable truths, no final vocabularies—only ongoing processes of meaning-making within systems that are themselves unstable. Post-structuralist epistemology doesn't despair at this but explores it: tracing how knowledge is made, how it circulates, how it changes. It's epistemology that has given up on foundations and learned to live with flux.
"You want solid ground for knowledge? Epistemological Post-structuralism says: there is none. There never was. There are only discourses, practices, and power relations. The search for foundations was the mistake. Build without them or don't build at all."

Scientific Post-structuralism

The application of post-structuralist thought to science: questioning binary oppositions (nature/culture, objective/subjective, fact/value), deconstructing scientific categories, exposing the instability of scientific concepts, and revealing how scientific knowledge is produced through discursive practices rather than simply discovered. Post-structuralism doesn't deny that science works—it denies that science works the way it says it works. It's science forced to confront its own textuality, its own rhetoric, its own constructedness.
"You keep appealing to 'nature' as if it's a stable foundation. Scientific Post-structuralism says: 'nature' is a concept with a history, produced through discourse, serving particular interests. It's not a ground—it's an effect. Your science is text, not truth. Deal with it."

Tag/ Spam Post

When a friend on facebook wants to talk to you Via Status by tagging you in a status, a variant of wall-posting, most people find this kind to be very annoying and almost immediately untag themselves. Normally the post will be in what kids call "text talk" meaning it may go like this "AYYYY @JOHN WALL B SP3N1N THE N1GHT NIQQA!" It may even get worse, because we all know the black population forgot how to type English.
