The gradual increase and gatekeeping over time of what height is considered tall for men despite a stagnant average, especially in the US.

Person 1: yeah he’s pretty tall, I think he’s 6’1?

Person 2: oh that’s not that tall, that’s pretty average.

Person 1: 4 inches above average isn’t tall? That’s total heightflation.
