Lumelle

Lumelle describes the bittersweet feeling of finding beauty or comfort in something that is inherently fleeting or transient. It's the glow of a sunset that you know will disappear in moments, the joy of a snowflake melting on your hand, or the warmth of an incredible conversation with someone you know you will never get to speak to again. The day before graduation, everyone in my class held a party. The mutual excitement for graduating was so much fun, but knowing that after graduation I would likely never see these people again gave me a sense of lumelle - this was one final get together before a life lived estranged from each other.
