Get the green daymug. Okay, here's the deal. Green Day is a punk rock band from Berkley, California. In the '90's they were huge (especially 94) for bringing back punk with The Offspring and a few other bands. They have gotten a lot of shit thrown on them for going on to a bigger label so that they could make better produced records. Most of their fans are either die-hard and like the bands that Green Day themselves like (The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Replacements, Husker Du, ect.) or are duchebags who have only heard one song by them and didn't even know that they existed in the 90's. Recently, they have written rock operas that have political stories.

Get the Green Daymug. Green day is a good band just because they came out with a new cd doesnt make them "(gay)". And just because other people like it doesnt ruin it. Its not like you are the only people are allowed to like it. American idiot is a very good rock opera! I am not saying the other cds arent good too they are!
Also there are no "true fans" just because someone just started liking green day doesnt make them unworthy of being a "real fan".Also Billie is very attractive and so what if he wears eyeliner it is his style! Plus you say that the new fans are just a bunch of girls EXCUSE ME dont start hating on a whole gender or age

Get the Green Daymug. The greatest pop punk band of all time. They are not punk, despite what many ignorant people say, their last punk album was Insomniac, ever since then, they've been pop punk, until 21st Century Breakdown; this was when they switched to power pop. They are occasionally combined with emo shitty bands, but NEVER compare them to those dicks.
I just listened to Green Day for the first time, and now I'm going to go out and buy one of their albums!
