Over time, these battles turned into anti-Islamic aggressions and ruthless animosity that resulted in over 1.7 million deaths (equivalent to 34 million people in modern times)
The Roman Catholic Church intended to use The Crusades to regain control of the Holy Land, however, it indirectly highlighted bigotry towards anti-Islamic values
