Someone who is only your friend when they want to be. They only come around if they need something from you, but if they don't need you for anything, they act like they don't know you.

Michael only wants to hang out with me because all his other friends are busy. I haven't talked to his ass in 5 years. He's a fucking Halfway Friend.

Someone who is always there for you and you can talk about all your problems with them and they understand. Also Who laughs at your jokes all the time and makes fun of you when something happens.

I fell on my ass and my Best Friend was there.
