greatful

A non-word term used by United States Department of Defense leadership when pretending to be "grateful" of the men and women of the military, but secretly wishing they had died.
I remain profoundly greatful to the men and women of the Department of Defense for their efforts to protect our Force, the Department of Defense community, and to aid the American people.
