The ball is in your court

the Origins of this phrase are as yet, unconfirmed. But is believed to have been first said somewhere in the south of England

a non-confrontational way of saying "it's your turn" and can be adapted as in his/her/their court.

Gareth: the ball's in your court, man.

the ball is in your court

a direct English translation of the french (specifically of France, and not elsewhere) expression "la balle est dans ton/votre camp" this expression means

it is now up to you to decide on what to do/what decision to make/decide what you want to do.
mother: Angela, why are you doing drugs? I now give you two choices: either you leave your current boyfriend Brandon and stop with your drugs, or you can move in with him; in which case I will want to have nothing to do with your life. The ball is in your court.

Angela:I would like to commit suicide. Wtf? You want me to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea?

mother: that's not an option. i am taking you right now for a psyche eval.

YouBalls

What someone has when they only have courage to start fights, be racist, or talk shit when they're commenting on YouTube. Someone grows YouBalls when they know that they're hiding safely behind their computer and can't get their ass kicked.
"Damn that fool has some crazy YouBalls. You know he'd be scared as hell to say that shit in person"
