When you diss someone, you speak to that particular person in a rude and disrespectful manner.

Synonym : Roast; burn; criticize etc.

Disrespecting. That's one of the meanings of diss, just disrespecting.

But, the other meaning is basically artists attacking another artist. The resulting feud is a beef.
