Laugh Track

An extremely annoying recording of people laughing that they play in sitcoms that try to be funny but are too supressed by the FCC to allow anything humorous. Usually played at the "funny" moments because most people that watch that crap don't know when to laugh anyway.

The show is bad enough, you don't have to ruin it more by adding that stupid laugh track.

Laugh Track

A digital audience laugh used in shows and channels like Disney whenever someone says a "joke". Usually a mix of kids and adults laughing.

Person 1: Hey, do you mind if i come in your room?
Person 2: No
Person 1 walks in anyway
Person 2: (cringes)
Laugh Track: HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW.

electronic laugh track

The online/text equivalent of the tv sitcom laugh track. Used to show an intended joke, sarcasm, or that something is funny when talking via text only (i.e. online "chatting" or text messaging). Can be either in text form, as per "lol", "lmao", etc, or can be in symbol form, i.e. :P, :D,etc

"Hey Ian, you are a fantastic dancer, lol"
"are you fucking kidding me? why do you always use that E-L-T (electronic laugh track) b.s.? i get that you joking without it"

laughback

The sound that a person makes when they inhale after a laugh. Sometimes it sounds like a drawn-out gasp, hiccup, or choke in the back of the throat.

"My laugh is so long that I run out of air and have to have a huge laughback."

"His laughback is the best part of his laugh."
