Dank as used in the stoner world means that the weed is really good - but it comes from a time long ago when Marijuana had to come to the US from far lands and passed through many hands before it got to the seller you got it from. Everyone wanted to know "what is it?" Referring to strain name. The reply was "It's DANK" Don't Ask - Nobody Knows.

(verb) The act of one individual acting very absurd and maniacal to the point where they no longer think properly and are only focused on laughing and thinking/saying idiotic phrases. However, dankness can be spread easily depending on the intensity of the dankness represented by the individual. Thus, having a whole group of peers dank can be very dangerous.

John was so dank that he could not live without laughing and unnecessary absurdness.
