But the people working on the show like the actors performance so much or they found the original one-off character interesting, that they find a way to make the character important to the main plot of the show. The definition was originally used by the YouTuber, Kitty Monk.

"I don't like Mina Loveberry from Star vs The Forces of Evil. Why do they keep her around? She seems more like an unimportant character to me."
