Niche is used to describe a situation, experience, person etc that’s oddly specific. Often used when a person describes a multitude of things that are specific and not relatable but the statement is phrased like the person will relate.

Girl ; I hate guys that a 5 yet act like a 10, that are only 5’8 , got a small dick are named Jonathan…

Boy: That’s so niche , I’m pretty sure you just described your ex.

Niche apocalypse

The zombie apocalypse except it’s performative ppl who overuse the words niche, yearning, revenge of the sith is my favorite, Jeff Buckley, the smiths, let down by Radiohead, I’m (batman/spiderman/anakin), etc. They also probably think everything is niche like legos, comics, anything marvel, anything dc, anything starwars, anything lotr, anime, watching movies, “bullying” kids on Roblox, etc. It’s an apocalypse cause ppl become lifeless as they care to much what others think and are insecure so they collect traits and hobbies they deem are “niche” and go around talking abt how underground and cool they are.

Rando: “I need more niche hobbies”
Rando 2: “you should try rock climbing, drawing, baking, and making Lego sets while watching super niche movies like dead poets society or eternal sunshine of the spotless mind”
Better rando: “uh oh the niche apocalypse is starting and I’m already surrounded”
