Becoming emotionally upset out of proportion to the situation.

Dad: "Get dressed, we're going to the grocery store."

Me: (whining)"Why? I don't want to go to the store! You said we didn't have to go tonight and I want to watch my favorite show! (screaming) I'm NOT going! YOU SAID we weren't going tonight and I'm NOT!"

Dad: "Don't get hippacanorus! "
