classroom friend 

Someone who you hang out with in class, but nowhere else. They're normally way more popular than you. You get along and hang out in class, but they don't acknowledge you anywhere else.

Girl 1: I kind of like Nick.
Girl 2: Oh he's cute. But do you ever even talk to him?
Girl 1: Kind of. He's a classroom friend.
Girl 2: Oh gosh that sucks.
Girl 1: Yeah.

classroom friendship 

When you're friends with someone in one of your classes, but outside of that class they treat you like a stranger.

"She and I have such a classroom friendship. When I say hey at lunch, she acts like she doesn't know me, even though we were cracking up during a World History lecture an hour ago."
