the act of behaving like an over pompous douche bag. someone who thinks he is far superior to everyone else and will try to let everyone in the room know.

He is such a yates. Nobody likes him because he is such a yates.

Hit a fat yate 

A phrase which is ambiguous in meaning, but is usually used to encourage people and hype them up.

Example 1:
Team captain: "Let's hit a fat yate boys!"
Team: "Yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Example 2:
Man: "Watch this. I'm about to hit a fate yate."
Man 2: "Let's see it"
(Man one dunks so hard he breaks the backboard)
Man 2: "Oh SHITTT"
