A person who is both motherly and fatherly. Word coined especially for rock n' roll star Joan Jett- and may be used to describe any similar person.

Joan is such a mofa; she'll serve you soup when you're sick, and kick butt for you too!

She's a nurturer and a protector- a real mofa!
