A UNIX-based operating systems for Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI)'s super computers, servers and workstations.

Irix is a good, stable OS, and my SGI-machine hasn't gone down for 180 days.

AIX

IBM's UNIX-based operating systems. Used on IBM's servers, and some other IBM-manufactured machines.

AIX is very nice, as any other UNIX-based OS.
