A term one redneck calls another ...it means pal, or buddy, or friend

true story: We were camping about one in the morning out in the woods of north carolina...some guy comes from out of the dark and scares the shit out of us. He says " What's up buddy roe?" "Got any beer , buddy roe?" He looked to be one of the guys out of the movie deliverance. After that we called everyone buddy roe and laughed like hell.
