Maitena is a word used to refer to a person who is ambitious, treacherous, envious, competitive, and who does misrepresentation. It is something like what is popularly known as "sharp tongue" or "lizard" (and variations like "snake", "bad woman", "traitorous friend, you never laugh, never cry", etc).
