An abbreviation of the Katipunan, a revolutionary organization in the Philippines led by nationalists, notably Andres Bonifacio. They notably declared war to the Spanish government via the Cry of Pugad Lawin (Sigaw ng Pugad Lawin), starting the three-year-long Philippine Revolution.
