butt flap

A square piece of cloth (usually advertising a punk band) that is safety pinned to the back of a dirty, smelly, gutter punk kids pants. Similar to a trucks mud flaps and a loin cloth.

Why do the gutter punk kids wear those butt flaps? They are so ugly!
