Instagram Method

A rhetorical tactic in which someone presents a small number of selectively chosen Instagram (or other social media) posts as “proof” that a person, unit, or organization routinely acts a certain way—despite the example representing an extremely rare, exceptional, or non-standard occurrence within a much larger population.
