to be incoherently drunk. To shive is more than to be drunk and less than to pass out. If someone's shivin', they will be sitting or laying down, sloppy as hell, doing nothing.

"I was shivin' hard as hell last night. I don't remember anything"
"Check out that picture! SHIVE MUCH?! She was posted on the couch all night."

really high on any drug (especially weed). Used in various rap songs.
