A name for a boy in the “talking” or “complicated” stage with someone, typically a female partner. Not yet a boyfriend, but also not just a friend

Can also be a boy that a someone is interested in, while simultaneously friends with them.

“That’s my homieboy!”

“David is Kayla’s homieboy.”
