Roachcock

Roachcockes are insects that pre-date dinosaurs and are said to have survived all 3 nuclear apocalypses (one of which killed the dinosaurs). They were originally discovered in the Philippines where they would often be mistaken for dates (the fruit) inside of rice cake. Roachcockes are not to be mistaken with cockroaches, these WILL bite you.

"Hey, is that a cockroach over there?"
"No, that's a roachcock because it's as big as an orange!"
