Sassoon Effect

When you’re convinced something is real because it sounds real, but you’re not sure whether you actually remember it or your brain just made it up.

Originates from a Codenames game where a player confused Sassoon with the Streisand Effect and confidently assumed the “Sassoon Effect” was a legitimate concept. It wasn’t — and now it’s used to describe those moments when you can’t tell whether something actually exists or your brain completely fabricated it.
Was there a movie where Jim Carrey played a cowboy or am I having the Sassoon Effect?
