Ostrander, Ohios name derives from the words “ostracized” and “stranded”- the two most prominent complaints of it’s residents. Locally, the residents are referred to as “angry villagers”, as the population is classified as a village.

Originally established as a train stop in 1852, the passengers boarded for the last time in the 1960’s, thus leaving the remainders Ostranded (see definition).

Blue’s Creek runs through the village. As the name suggests, it’s where villagers go to sing the blues and minors drink away their woes. With an insufficient volunteer police force, community based policing duties are often carried out by Karens. Ostrander suffers from the Small Town Syndrome endemic.
Welcome to downtown Ostrander- where cat calling & loose dogs meet.
