Texts sent out to every person on someone's phone list which are framed as personal greetings and well-wishes, such as on New Year's Eve or Christmas, but just aren't. It is easy to identify these as they do not address you by name.

Received: "This last year may have been hard at times, but I hope and believe this coming year will be fantastic for you, dear friend"

Reaction: "Fucking hell, I just got fspammed. I guess someone's got nothing better to do tonight."
