viola 

an amazing 4 string instrument that is larger in size and personality then a violin. It sounds more like a cello, only an octive lower. The strings are(from lowest to highest)C-G-D-A. Viola players are usually the most underappreciated of the entire orchestra. They generally get sucky parts and little attention. The instrument itself is beautiful if played correctly.

The entire viola section was appaled at the discustingly simple parts they were issued to play while the violins had 100% of the melody and it was even challenging.
