Passed By Launch
Term used in the sport of rowing (a.k.a. Crew) for a boat moving so slow relative to the rest of the boats in the race that the Launch carrying the Race Officials passes the slow boat to keep up with the pack of competitive boats.
Boats that PBL usually finish DFL (Dead Fucking Last).

Hair Down, Makeup On Whores
Pronounced "AACH-Dee-emmo-hoes"
Term used to describe female athletes who are more interested in looking good to male teammates than they are interested in working hard at practices. In contrast to serious athletes who put their hair up and generally wear little if any makeup when working out.
Originally used in the San Francisco Bay Area among coed high-school Crew (rowing) teams, with likely first usage occurring within the Los Gatos Rowing Club (LGRC). Has quickly spread nationwide as initial users have gone off to colleges around the country.
