A natural place of area occurring in cities or well-developed areas, with natural flora and fauna forming a small self-sustaining ecosystem. Green Pockets also act as carbon sinks, absorbing the large quantities of carbon produced in the cities.

1. Aarey Forest in Mumbai is one of the best Green Pockets in the city that needs protection.
2. Green Pockets need our protection, not beautification.
