When an academic paper promises you the world in the abstract, but fails to deliver in the body text
I regret to inform you that The Lancet will not be inviting you to revise and resubmit your paper, as it is a clear and obvious example of stractfishing. Your abstract claims you have evidence that radish consumption is associated with a 90% reduction in IBS symptoms amongst a large representative sample of human subjects. Yet in your methods section, you explain that the sample was merely your two pet hampsters, and your cousin's geriatric poodle."
