it has a positive connotation, but depending on the context in can mean different things. ex : tasty, handsome, good etc

“this food is so gyu” this food is so tasty/delicious

“omg he’s so gyu” he’s really handsome/attractive
“wow this dress is so gyu!” the dress is really pretty
“the text you wrote is really gyu” the text is good/well written
