when a guy is talking to his gf/mom/sister who is talking about shopping or some other unpleasant topic, and he just nods and says something simple

girl: and i found the absolutely perfect prom dress! it was strappless with blue sequins....
guy: yup it sounds great
girl: and you will be getting a tux.....
guy: yup sounds great *nods.

Next day....
guy: wow she just wouldn't stop talking
guy 2: looks like u went into guy mode majorly
