Doing something regardless of your little to zero knowledge on the subject, refusing any kind of help or advice especially from women and younger people in order to appear smarter and more capable. Often the incompetence of the person performing the balkan dad action is exposed but any kind of feedback is discarded in an attempt to protect their fragile ego.

-Are you sure you know how to fix my chair? I can ask my friend to do it... I don't want you to balkan dad it again.
