Totter is an affectionate, playful nickname commonly used by parents, grandparents, and caregivers (especially in British, Australian, and some American families) to refer to a baby or very, toddler who has only recently learned to walk and still moves with the characteristic unsteady, waddling, or teetering gait of early walkers.
