When family or friends asks a series of questions, but you don't want to get into too much detail, so you just answer "Yup." This is especially common around the holidays and with extended family members you don't see regularly.

Q: So works going well?

A: Yup

I didn't want to get into it with my Aunt, so I just gave her a yupdate.
