Lone wolf

The wild canines who form packs with a top alpha member. When a member breaks off, they're known as the lone wolf. In the bible it mentions wolves to be warned against as being treacherous, bloodthirsty, and ferocious.

Department of Homeland Security has labeled so called "homegrown terrorists" as a lone wolf.
