Brother from another Mother

"A popular informal phrase used amongst close friends, but rather than describing themselves as such, it's used to extend the nature of the bond to a familial level. It all comes down to the idea of a bond between two individuals being so strong, that they understand eachother as brothers. With the lack of an actual biological bond, the afilliation is so strong that it acts as the familial connector, as a substitute for the binding blood, and so, it is a link mutually chosen and experienced, not inherited."
-"Hey! Dumbass, is that you? Crazy to see you here!"

-"Max, My brother from another mother, How's it hanging?"
