Sweaty dog summer

Refers to extremely hot summer weather. The temperature is purportedly high enough to make dogs, an animal which does not sweat, sweat.

Origin: Believed to have been first used by 21st century Midwestern farmers.
Anna: Could your sweat stains get any bigger? Seriously, did you go swimming? Maybe you were dared to drink 6 beers without using your hands?

Tommy: Sorry babe, there is nothing I can do. It's a sweaty dog summer and it's even hotter on the dance floor.
