2. deceptive appearance that when discovered, causes the deceived individual to feel wronged.

1. When dining at a fine restaurant, I leave the children at home. This way they will not disturb me with their shenanagans.

2. The movie looked so good on the previews, but it royally sucked. I declare shenanagans.
