(noun) an argument (for a paper or essay) that starts out weak and limp but that gets longer and stronger the more you play around with it
My philosophy paper still has a flaccid argument, so I'm thinking about spending the night in the library to really firm it up.

Jimmy always has trouble with flaccid arguments, so he often asks his girlfriend to help out.
