In music, it is the year when Kurt Cobain died and ended the grunge era. It is also the year when the California punk scene is at its height; the first time since hardcore bands did the same during the early 1980s. Punk rock once again took public interest when Green Day's Dookie, The Offspring's Smash, NOFX's Punk in Drublic, and Bad Religion's Stranger than Fiction, were released. On the other hand, Weezer became popular due to the release of their self-titled debut album. Korn also released their self-titled debut and became famous. Aerosmith became the first band to feature a new song on the internet. Pink Floyd embarked on their last world tour before their breakup. Finally, the three surviving members of the Beatles secretly reunited and began recording some of John Lennon's unfinished demos. Oh did I mention that a lot of bands showcased their awesomeness during the Woodstock festival of this year? Great isn't it? Yeah I know..the 90s is great. Too bad I spent only 4 years of my life then before the decade ended..
1994 is a great year in filming too. Lion King took a big hit along with Forrest Gump, The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, The Flintstones, etc.
